Grinding Aids

Grinding Aid products have been developed to be a highly effective concentrated material

This liquid chemical is designed to remove the electrostatic charge and the Van Der Waals forces resulting when grinding CaCO3 to small microns due to its uniquely high polarity. At fine grinding, there is a great tendency for particles to join back together forming agglomerates and branches hence; grinding success is influenced by particle-particle interactions that increase with decreasing particle size due to increasing specific surface area, resulting in decreasing distance between particles where the classifier efficiency drops down

Grinding Aids chemicals are used to overcome these forces. Usually grinding aids, through their action of reducing the agglomeration, improve the fines recovery by 10-20% and increases the classifier throughput and mill output, at the same fineness, resulting in reduction of grinding energy cost.
